"AUTUMN MEETING FOR ALL TEACHERS OF CHEMISTRY”
In conjunction with the Royal Society for Chemistry Education Division Midland Region.
|Alison Caldwell from ‘Scientific and Chemical Supplies Ltd’ will be showing microscale quickfit apparatus for distillation, where the joints screw together meaning that only one clamp is required for the full set-up.||Paul Gray from ‘Newton Resources’ will be demonstrating the reduction of copper (II) oxide by hydrogen, using microscale equipment, with a short presentation on its merits and drawbacks.||
Jean Johnson, a retired teacher, will be talking about her work with schools in Uganda. Jean sends equipment and text books to schools in Uganda, collected from schools in this area who no longer need them.
Perhaps you would like to make a positive contribution to the continuing development of Chemical Education in the Midlands Region? If so, you may wish to join the WMCTC Committee as one of the teacher representatives. NQT or experienced teacher – your input will be very welcome and much appreciated. Please let us know. The WMCTC Annual General Meeting takes place during the evening and the agenda includes the election of teacher representatives to serve on the Committee – an excellent CPD opportunity.
